Barça Ready for First Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Stadium Testing

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium earlier this month. The club said approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
