On Monday, the tribunal heard phone records and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported child disappearance cases and continues to be open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another recorded message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone stated: "Imagine there is a slight possibility that I am Madeleine? What happens next? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was informed that via electronic messages, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a attempt to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and asserted to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, a data specialist with law enforcement who collated the evidence, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to family friends of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On October 9th, 2024, the father answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, declaring she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I will persist and I will prove my position."

The court heard the co-defendant established a association via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to accompanying her on a appearance to the McCanns' home in Leicestershire in that winter.

Communication data demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted using communication app to Mrs McCann to say the press had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she should be taken seriously in the time preceding the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.

The court was told communications between the two individuals, in November 2024, planning trying to acquire Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her garbage or from cutlery at a restaurant.

"We must assert ourselves," the co-defendant informed Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the visit to their residence, the defendant sent a message which stated: "We are sat adjacent to the McCanns' home with our vehicle dark resembling private investigators. I desired to achieve this with Peter Andrew I never thought I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial ongoing.
